Job Specification
The position requires one to five years' experience in a quantity surveying / cost management or project controls role, and requires basic knowledge of the construction design and management process.
Ideally, the candidate will have worked on post-contract construction projects and also have basic knowledge of pre-contract cost planning and estimating. Experience in measurement and pricing of construction works is essential, whether structural, architectural or mechanical and electrical.
Applicants must be fluent in the English language as this will be the language of business and the construction contracts used. Additionally, the candidates must be effective team players, self-motivated persons, with a troubleshooter/problem solver approach to work.
The roles will be part of a wider team managing construction projects, and therefore proper client-facing skills and strong report writing skills is an absolute must.

Job Requirements

6+ years' experience in a quantity surveyor/cost management/project controls role, with a minimum of 2+ years' experience in managing teams;

Holds a BSc in engineering, architecture or a relevant, construction-related discipline as a minimum

Proficient with quantification of architectural and structural drawings is a must, basic knowledge of MEP quantification is a plus;

Working experience of cost reporting, monthly payment administration and assessment of variation orders and changes;

Proficient with pricing and estimating construction works;

Strong client-facing skills, chairing/contributing to meetings, presentation skills;

Member, or working towards membership of the RICS, or an equivalent international accredited, professional body is preferred;

Previous experience in a consultancy role is preferred;

Fluency in the English language is essential; and
-
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Job Specification
The position requires more than six years' experience in a quantity surveying / cost management or project controls role, and requires proficient knowledge of the construction design and management process.
Essentially, the candidate will have worked on both pre- and post-contract construction projects and also have working knowledge of pre-contract cost planning and estimating. Post-contract experience is a must, with successful of delivery of large complex projects from mobilisation to handover to be demonstrable. Experience in measurement and pricing of construction works is essential in the fields of structural, architectural and mechanical and electrical, with experience and know-how in how to lead a cost management commission
Applicants must have prior experience of managing small teams of two to four quantity surveyors, and are required to have client-facing skills. Soft skills are key in the success of this applicant, as leadership qualities, accepting responsibility and the ability to work under pressure are key.
